Product Description

Gastro Direct is a specially formulated Complementary feed for horses with sensitive stomachs. Its balanced combination of minerals such as magnesium and sodium, along with functional ingredients such as pectin and brewer's yeast extract, is designed to support normal stomach function and a balanced stomach environment.

The minerals contained also contribute to electrolyte and acid–base balance and thereby support the natural balance of the stomach. Mucus-forming ingredients support the function of the stomach lining and contribute to a balanced diet—especially during periods of increased stress on the stomach caused by training, changes in diet, or physical exertion.

Gastro Direct is suitable for horses with sensitive digestive systems and for regular use in everyday life as well as in competition. The ADMR-compliant formula contains only select ingredients and is therefore also suitable for competition horses.

Pectin

Pectin is a soluble, gel-forming dietary fiber with a strong ability to bind water. In the digestive tract, pectin forms viscous structures and is specifically used in stomach-focused feeding regimens to support the natural function of the gastric mucosa from a nutritional perspective. It supports balanced digestive function and a balanced gastric environment, particularly in sensitive horses.

Brewer's yeast

Brewer's yeast extract (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) provides valuable nutrients such as amino acids and natural components of the yeast cell. In equine nutrition, brewer's yeast is traditionally used to support normal digestive function. As part of a stomach-specific formula, it effectively supplements the diet for horses with sensitive digestion.

Vitamin E

As an antioxidant, vitamin E helps protect cells from oxidative stress. It is a valuable addition to stomach-focused feeding regimens, particularly during periods of increased stress, and supports the physiological functions of the digestive system.

Sodium

Sodium chloride is an important source of sodium and helps maintain the horse’s electrolyte and fluid balance. As part of a stomach-friendly formula, it contributes to physiological balance in the digestive tract and effectively supplements mineral intake—especially during periods of increased activity.

Magnesium

Magnesium chloride provides magnesium, an essential mineral. Magnesium contributes to electrolyte and acid-base balance, thereby supporting the body’s natural equilibrium. In the context of stomach-focused nutrition, magnesium is used to nutritionally support a balanced stomach environment, particularly during periods of increased strain on the stomach.

Milk Thistle Oil

Milk Thistle Oil provides high-quality plant-based fatty acids and complements the formula as an energy-rich, easily digestible ingredient. As part of a diet designed to support stomach health, it promotes normal digestive function and contributes to balanced nutrient absorption—especially in cases of sensitive digestion.

Linseed Oil

Linseed Oil is a natural source of polyunsaturated fatty acids, particularly omega-3 fatty acids. It has traditionally been used in horse feed.

Anise

Anise seeds contain essential oils such as anethole and are traditionally used in horse feed. They can support gastrointestinal function—particularly in cases of diet-related sensitivity or during periods of increased digestive stress.

Artichoke

Artichokes contain natural bitter compounds such as cynarin and are traditionally valued in animal feed. Plant components containing bitter compounds can support normal digestive function and contribute to the nutritional support of gastrointestinal health—especially in cases of diet-related stress or sensitive digestion.

Fennel

Fennel oil contains natural essential oils, particularly anethole, and is traditionally used in animal feed. It can support the digestive and respiratory systems—especially during periods of stress caused by diet or environmental factors.

Chamomile

Chamomile contains natural essential oils and bitter compounds and is traditionally used in horse feed. It can support the digestive tract—especially during periods of dietary stress or internal discomfort.

Caraway

Caraway is rich in aromatic essential oils, which have traditionally been valued in animal feed for their role in supporting digestive processes. It promotes normal gastrointestinal function and is particularly recommended for animals with sensitive digestion.

Dandelion

Dandelion is rich in plant compounds containing bitter substances and is traditionally used to aid digestion. It can support normal gastrointestinal function from a nutritional standpoint—especially during periods of dietary stress.

Mint

Mint contains natural essential oils such as menthol and is traditionally used to aid digestion. Its aromatic compounds support normal gastrointestinal function and are a valuable addition to stomach-related formulations, particularly for those with sensitive digestion.

Sage

Sage leaves contain natural phytochemicals and essential oils such as thujone and cineol. In equine nutrition, sage is traditionally to support respiratory health, digestion, and overall Well-being —especially in cases of diet-related stress or in dusty environments.

Nerves Booster

Magnesium

Magnesium fumarate is a source of magnesium, an essential mineral that plays a role in the normal functioning of the nervous and neuromuscular systems. Magnesium is involved in numerous metabolic processes and is used as part of the diet, particularly during periods of increased physical or mental stress.

Taurine

Taurine is a sulfur-containing amino acid that plays a role in the body in processes such as muscle metabolism and antioxidant processes. From a nutritional perspective, it can support physiological processes in the nervous system and contribute to normal heart and circulatory function. An adequate intake supports the body, particularly during periods of increased physical demands.

Carbonated Algal Limestone

Carbonate-rich seaweed lime is a natural source of calcium derived from marine algae. When administered directly, it can buffer the digestive environment in the mouth and stomach, thereby supporting a balanced diet. It is particularly suitable for horses experiencing changes in feeding routines, extended breaks between meals, or increased management stress, such as during transport or competitions.

Vitamin B12

Vitamin B12 (Cobalamin) is an essential B vitamin found in significant amounts only in animal components like fermented feeds or yeast. It is involved in normal energy metabolism and contributes to the physiological function of the nervous system. Targeted supplementation can be particularly beneficial for older horses or those under high stress.

L-Tryptophan

L-tryptophan is an essential amino acid that the body needs to produce important endogenous neurotransmitters such as serotonin.
Serotonin is a neurotransmitter produced naturally by the body that plays a role in the central nervous system. In equine nutrition, a targeted supply of nutrients can support the nervous system and maintain internal balance—especially during periods of increased stress or after intense physical exertion.

Ashwagandha

Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) is a traditionally used plant extract with a natural content of phytochemicals. In horse feeding, Ashwagandha is used as a supplement to provide nutritional support for the nervous system and overall well-being – especially for older, sensitive, or hormonally challenged horses. An appropriate supply can support inner balance during periods of increased stress or transition.

Sunflower oil

Sunflower oil is a high-quality source of energy to supplement a horse’s daily diet. It provides energy that is released slowly and can therefore be a useful alternative to starch-rich feeds—especially for sensitive or easily excitable horses. It supports a balanced diet and ensure a stomach-friendly feed ration.

Passionflower

Passionflower contains natural phytochemicals and is traditionally used in animal feed. It can support the nervous system and overall well-being through nutrition—especially during times of nervous stress or in tense situations.

Chamomile

Chamomile contains natural essential oils and bitter compounds and is traditionally used in horse feed. It can support the digestive tract—especially during periods of dietary stress or internal discomfort.
