Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) is a traditionally used plant extract naturally rich in secondary plant compounds. Ashwagandha is used as a supplement in equine feeds to provide nutritional support for the nervous system and general well-being—particularly in older, sensitive, or hormonally stressed horses. Adapted nutrition can help maintain inner balance during periods of increased stress or transition.

Magnesium aspartate is an organically bound magnesium compound with high bioavailability. Magnesium contributes to the normal function of the nervous system and muscles and is involved in numerous metabolic processes. A targeted magnesium supplement can be particularly beneficial during periods of stress or increased nervous strain.

Magnesium chloride provides bioavailable magnesium – an essential mineral and a key component of a horse's electrolyte balance. Magnesium is involved in numerous physiological processes, particularly in neuromuscular function and energy metabolism. Adequate supplementation can contribute to supporting nerves, muscles, and regeneration – especially during periods of increased exertion, stressful situations, or during recovery.

Vitamin B12 (cobalamin) is an essential B vitamin that is only found in significant amounts in animal products such as fermented feeds or yeast. It is involved in normal energy metabolism and contributes to the physiological function of the nervous system. Targeted supplementation can be particularly beneficial for older horses or those subject to high levels of exercise.

Serotonin is a natural neurotransmitter that plays a role in the central nervous system. In horse feeding, targeted nutrient supply can help support the nervous system and maintain internal balance—especially during periods of increased stress or after intense physical exertion.

Nervenstark is particularly suitable for horses that are constantly stressed and need long-term support.
Alternatively, it's also suitable for situations that have been planned well in advance. However, Nervenstark is not ADMR compliant, so it's not suitable for tournament use.

Nervenstark direct, on the other hand, is suitable for short-term administration. This makes it useful for feeding short-term plans or for supporting a horse during a tournament. Nervenstark direct is ADMR compliant and therefore not doping-relevant, making it ideal for use during a tournament.

With normal feeding, one bottle will last for about 1 month.

The feeding duration depends on the individual. Thanks to its natural ingredients, Nervenstark can be fed continuously.

For acute stress situations, a temporary and more intensive administration (see tournament feeding) is advisable.
